More about our story
Tuxberry & Whit is the combined efforts of two sisters who are 2/3 of triplets. It’s a story and product of two sisters whose creative passions and desire to stay connected while living oceans apart prompted a business of making things they like and could share with others We hope to share our hand illustrated cards, prints and textiles at Silobration! Today, while one sister sketches in Santa Fe, the other is handling the digital side in Denver and coordinating printing in Montana. Originally from Wyoming, one sister lived in Vienna before moving to the UK and then back to the US. Staying close while far apart prompted us to create a business built on sharing experiences and staying connected. In every step of the process, we work hard to honor our Western roots, incorporate our travels and give nod to our heritage. The name Tuxberry & Whit is after our grandmothers. Tuxberry was a family name on our mother’s side. She grew up in the South and we love that soul. Whit was the high school nickname for our dad’s mom. All the notes in her yearbook in the 40s were written to Whit. We love good stories – old, new and still to come. Even more, we love bringing them to life in our products. Our blankets were designed based on an original sketch of ours with the buffalo, a symbol of the Mountain West. Our cards capture stories of our childhood, our travels, our relationships and sentiments of love, thanks, humor and encouragement.
