Biography
Qin leads the industrial design team at fuseproject. With nearly 20 years of experience and deep knowledge in the industry, she has successfully brought a significant number of concepts to the market with clients at a global scale, ranging from startups to successfully established corporations. Over the past 15 years at fuseproject, Qin has worked on a variety of design categories including robotics, consumer electronics, furniture, interior spaces, health care, packaging and soft goods, among others.
Qin is responsible for guiding the entire design process from leading concept directions through ideation to production, working across disciplines to create integrated design experiences for product, brand and digital platforms. Her work has been honored with numerous awards, including the recent IDEA Gold and Special Award for the Snoo baby basinet for Happiest Baby.
She is currently the Chair of the board of Industrial Designers Society of America. She has served as a juror in many design competitions, including Clio, IDEA, One Show and Spark Awards. With this diverse knowledge and wealth of experience, she has also taught at the Academy of Art University and California College of Art.
