Biography

Ken Schroeppel is a full-time professor in the University of Colorado Denver’s Department of Urban and Regional Planning, where he lectures on urban design, planning methodologies, and the historical growth and development of cities. Previously, Ken worked for 12 years in private practice as a planning consultant and project manager. Ken is very active in Denver’s planning and design communities, serving on the board of directors of the Denver Architecture Foundation, Streetsblog Denver, and YIMBY Denver, and engaging with other professional and advocacy groups such as the Downtown Denver Partnership, Urban Land Institute, and the American Planning Association. Ken is possibly best known as the founder and editor of the popular DenverInfill and DenverUrbanism blogs, which offer news, ideas, and commentary on infill development and sustainable urbanism in the Mile High City.
