Biography
John P. Olson is the Director of Preservation Programs for Historic Denver, Inc., where he has worked since December of 2008. His role at Historic Denver is to provide advocacy expertise and technical assistance for historic places while supporting historic residential, commercial, and civic property owners in their preservation efforts. He consults with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors on design solutions for restoration, rehabilitation, infill, and expansion projects. His previous experience includes work as an Intern Architect with Humphries Poli Architects, P.C. in Denver and as a Program Coordinator for a historic agricultural structures program at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and a Master of Architecture degree with high honors from the University of Colorado Denver.
