Brad Buchanan

Brad Buchanan is the executive director of Denver Community Planning and Development. He is responsible for implementing visionary city planning and safe, sustainable building throughout Denver. Before joining the City and County of Denver, Brad was a principal and board member at RNL and has served as chair of the Denver Planning Board and as past chairman of the Downtown Denver Partnership. He was a member of the Downtown Denver Area Plan steering committee, the 2027 Committee and Denver’s Landmark Preservation Commission.

In 1999, Brad founded Freedom by Design, a nonprofit organization providing design and construction services for the disabled community. He was elevated to fellowship by the American Institute of Architects in 2005.
