Biography

Antônio Carlos Moraes de Castro is an architect and urbanist from Brazil and collaborating professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Central Plateau in Brasilia. He has designed some 300 projects, ranging from multi-family residential to parks and higher education. Key projects include the General and Administrative Command of the Navy of Brazil, the Joaquim Cruz Olympic Center in Taguatinga, and the headquarters of the Water, Energy and Basic Sanitation Regulatory Agency of the Federal District.  He has organized many international architecture competitions and lectures frequently on accessibility and urban mobility. Moraes de Castro earned his Graduate Degree in Architecture, School of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Brasilia.
