The Missing Middle:Creating More Attainable Housing at Berkley Shores + Hard Hat Tour presented by KGA Studio Architects & Highland Development Company
Visit Berkley Shores for a hard hat tour and an inside look at how building and land costs are impacting design. We’ll discuss the importance of missing middle housing (a diverse assortment of new housing options that fall between single-family homes and large condo buildings) and how this design approach addresses issues of affordability in Denver. In this discussion the builder/developer and architect of the 89 homes being built in the Berkley Shores neighborhood will explain what is being done to solve for the lack of attainable housing in Colorado, and how different design solutions, like missing middle housing, can help. Following the discussion there will be a hard hat tour of the urban infill community and a chance to see the various home types at different stages of construction, from sitework to move-in ready.
