As humans continue to pollute and harm our planet, the global temperature continues to rise. As this temperature rises extreme weather like tornadoes, flooding, droughts, blizzards, and temperature extremes becomes more prevalent. Through all of this, the wealthy can escape these extremes through modern technology, and the poor are left to succumb to the changing weather, causing a “Climate Apartheid.”

Studio Completiva is doing the research now to see what affordable housing needs to look like in the next 10, 20, or 30 years in order to supply people with a safe and affordable place to call home in the wake of climate change.

Our presentation will discuss our findings and share our guidelines on creating climate protected affordable housing.
