Reducing Systemic Waste in Construction Presented by GFDA, WM, and Cottonwood Builders

The construction and demolition industries account for roughly 500 million tons of waste being sent to landfills each year in the United States alone. Fortunately, change isn’t as hard as it may seem. The GFDA, a national alliance of design and building firms, is working to develop solutions for proactively minimizing and diverting waste. As an important early step, this year the GFDA partnered with Waste Management to encourage recycling dumpsters on construction sites—this alone could increase diversion significantly. This event will bring together GFDA members Cottonwood Builders and Denver’s Waste Management team to discuss how we can further transform the construction industry from one of waste to an example of efficient, sustainable solutions.

COVID precautions: Everyone will be required to wear a mask indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Please plan accordingly. If you do not want to wear a mask, please do not purchase a ticket for this event.
