Driverless vehicles are now a reality and the economic, environmental and societal impact of this technology will be profound. Within the next five to ten years, door-to-door, on-demand mobility services will become increasingly available for a small fraction of the cost of car ownership and corporations from Uber to Google to Ford are moving at breakneck speed to become leaders in this mobility revolution. Cities and suburbs must reconsider and reinvent many of their functions, from public transit to parking.

How might the lives of seniors, low-income workers, the disabled community, and ordinary citizens be improved? How many jobs will be lost? Will congestion improve or worsen, and will infrastructure need to be upgraded? This presentation will help you understand how your personal life might change. You’ll also glimpse the positive and negative effects driverless mobility may have, not just for the automotive industry, but also oil and gas, utilities, insurance, parking, and entire nations.
