Purity and Environment: The Collaborative Process
of Modern Design Set in Pristine Wilderness
presented by R DESIGN

Collaboration is a big buzz work amongst the design community but there is a clear distinction between cooperating and collaborating. This skill is incredibly important when inserting modern architecture into a pristine environment. For the past 6 months, our designers have been working with Joey Pruett from A21 to analyze and design a modern experience alongside Buffalo Creek in Jefferson County that will cater toward mountain bikers and other outdoor aficionados. The owners requested three modern luxury cabins, a park pavilion and a renovation with additional structures for their private residence. The design team will present the collaborative process showing the importance of landscape architects and architects working closely together to delicately place structures in a manner that compliments the beautiful forest and meadow environment. This presentation will provide a glimpse into the inspiring steps designers take when developing a vision to preserve and enhance such a sacred place.
