The COVID-19 pandemic that has widely disrupted our world has raised many questions about how the design of the built environment can evolve to improve the health and safety of occupants. The AEC industry is taking this time to look critically at building systems that can help us all return to work, school, and leisure in the safest manner possible. UV disinfection is a proven method for reducing the spread of airborne pathogens, but typically has been relegated to clinical settings. As we start to look to the future of building design, this panel discussion will focus on UV disinfection’s role in supporting healthy environments across a variety of applications.
