From Warehouses to the Mission Ballroom
Purchase TicketsMore than 75 years ago, North Wynkoop began as an industrial warehouse and distribution campus in Denver’s former manufacturing district. Encompassing six city blocks along both Wynkoop and Brighton Boulevard, North Wynkoop is one of Denver’s largest land assemblages in the urban core and is located at the entryway to RiNo, which will ultimately be downtown Denver’s new front door.
In this session, participants will learn about the holistic and thoughtful approach used to create a unique neighborhood with a direct connection to the 38th and Blake Commuter Rail Station and an entertainment-driven amenity base for both historic adjacent neighborhoods and other Front Range communities.
A discussion on the first phase will focus on the Mission Ballroom, a 4,000-person music/entertainment venue, a 240-car garage, and a 90,000-square-foot office and retail building. The Lumineers kicked off the Ballroom’s grand opening on August 7, followed by the office/retail building and garage in September.
A discussion of the second phase will include details of the hotel, residential spaces, and additional office and retail. A 12-story, 400-unit apartment complex that will include 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail is expected to break ground next June.
