Hord Coplan Macht grew out of their previous office in the historic Engine House No. 5 last year and moved into the trendy new Dairy Block building in downtown Denver. Being in the newest up-and-coming building within the Dairy Block motivated them to create a space that was inspirational. With a blank slate, they designed that new space to be a “home away from home” for their employees, by integrating WELL Certification standards and biophilic design elements.
(Biophilic design incorporates natural materials, natural light, vegetation, nature views and other experiences of the natural world into the modern built environment.)
In this talk (and HCM Office tour in the Dairy Block Building): HCM principals Michelle Horn, Lyn Eller, and Jennifer Cordes will lead a discussion on their design methodology and their process to design their new office space. They will delve into the considerations and impacts of designing a biophilic environment that has influenced their employees and created a space for the next generation of their company.
