Maroon Bell Outdoor is a fashion conscious, outdoor apparel brand, launched five years ago by 4th generation Coloradan, Jeremy Dougherty. We design apparel to be worn in the city or the outdoors and like to think of our pieces as gritty but polished. This company is unique because Jeremy had no prior experience in the clothing industry. He got his degree in accounting from CSU and was working as an analyst on the east coast when he fell in love with fashion. Shortly after his return to Denver in the Fall of 2014, Jeremy felt there was a need in the Denver market for authentic, usable designs, tailored for consumers like him. The Denver based company was built entirely at a grass roots level without any investors. They give 3% of everything back to three local non-profits and until COVID popped up at dozens of markets and events around Colorado. You can see the Maroon Bell vision in their flagship designs, the campfire flannel and Buffalo Leather Gloves.
Our logo depicts the Maroon Bells looking themselves in the mirror (lake), however; instead of seeing their own reflection, they see the Denver skyline. A lot of us live and work in the city, spending our nights, weekends and holidays outside. We are working to change the exclusive image of the outdoors and show folks that it is for everyone. You don’t have to be trekking through Patagonia to find the outdoors. You just have to go outside and see a tree, grass or the sky.
Finally, we work with as many Denver based organizations as we can and believe companies have a responsibility to their consumers, communities and partners to make this world a better place.
