I am a contemporary artist whose ideas arise conceptually from social memory. My visual practice teases out connections to cultural shifts, historical interpretations, environmental issues, popular culture, social paradigms, disappearing practices and generational connections through a contemporary lens.
The primary focus of my concepts revolves around using memory to create experiences. Frequently recontextualizing objects – I utilize my experience with an assortment of mediums allowing me to create works that facilitate experiential nostalgia and individual interpretations. Engineering expertise allows me to achieve durable lasting works in the public sector. Frequently those maquettes can be seen in my gallery works.
Exploration of multimedia social engagement projects is a current focus as well as escalating the scope of those projects to the monumental and public scale.
