Adrian Kinney

Adrian Kinney—Broker Associate with Resident Realty, and Denver’s mid-century modern home expert—was born and raised in Lakewood, CO. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in real estate from Colorado State University and after, moved back to Denver and worked for a local property management firm for two years. At the firm Kinney was responsible for 110+ units across the metro area. This was a wonderful learning experience and start to his real estate career. After leaving the property management world, Kinney moved to working in the public sector. He began his service as a real property appraiser for the City and County of Denver. Here he learned how the assessed values were calculated, and learned the different areas of Denver from this bird’s-eye view.

After two years with the City and the County, he was presented with an opportunity working for the State of Colorado. This role he took was as a Property Tax Specialist dealing with State Assessed entities. Here he honed in on his capital finance skills and worked to find business valuations of companies, as well as expand his knowledge of capital financing. During his time here, he started to have more and more clients come to him about being their real estate broker (at this time he had his license for five years but had only been doing a few deals a year on the side). As word got out about his passion, knowledge, and skill as a broker, more clients came out of the wood-work who wanted him to be their agent for buying or selling (or both) their homes.

During this time, Kinney also picked up a Cliff May to renovate and resell. It was the perfect storm of all the things he was passionate about. He then made the exit from the state to pursue life as a full-time agent and investor. His combination of charisma, passion, and attention to detail make him the perfect agent to work with in selling or buying a home. And as someone who is fortunate enough to live in a mid-century modern home, Adrian has a passion for architecture that is contagious. He is also your best connection to that mid-century home you have been dreaming of or the one you have and want cared for the same way you have upon sale.
